For Families

Sunday Morning Kids and Youth Groups : Our Sunday program is for the entire family!  We have groups for children, for youth and for adults.  Our Sunday program begins the Sunday after Labor Day and continues through the year, ending the weekend after Memorial Day. Sunday School starts at 9:15 am.  You can get a list of our adult groups in the monthly newsletter or check the list in the foyer on Sunday morning.

Small groups: Our Adult small groups meet on Wednesday evenings at church and at private homes. On Sundays, small groups are also offered at 9:15. Nursery is provided on Sunday mornings. Please check the bulletin, church foyer or church calendar for the current schedule.

MUG (Men Under God) is the men’s ministry at Word of Life. We meet each Saturday morning at 8 am for a prayer meeting and on the second Saturday of each month at 8 am for a prayer breakfast.  We are done by 9 am so you will still make it home for your “honey-do” list!  We often get together for work parties at the church and sometimes for work parties if someone needs a hand with a project.  This ministry is open to all men and their sons.  We also hold an annual MUG retreat each October at Tall Timber Ranch near Leavenworth, WA! Men: if you are interested in joining a small group for men, check our calendar for meeting days and times!

 

Women’s Ministries meets for special events to encourage and inspire women. Our Women's Ministries is affiliated with the PNW Regional Women's Ministries and National Women’s Ministries, whose mission is to encourage, equip and edify all women of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren for ministry, fellowship and service. We offer opportunities for women’s prayer groups, prayer partners, and Bible Studies (mid-week and Sunday mornings). We encourage the women to attend our Annual Regional Women’s Retreat where we join with other women from the Pacific Northwest Region for teaching, encouragment and great fun!

 

For Young Adults and Couples

Twenty-Somethings: "Aftermath" meets at 6:30 on Sunday evenings. A time of prayer, reflection and worship.

Young Couples: Please check the monthly calendar for events and gatherings. Aftermath is also open to young couples. No childcare is currently available.

For Children

C.H.A.M.P.S. (Children Having A Master Plan of Salvation) is our midweek children’s program that meets Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 pm.  Come to CHAMPS and discover Godly characteristics while you sing upbeat songs, play games, make crafts and learn from God’s Word! This program is for kids age 4 through the 5th grade!

Outreach

The Master’s Feast is a community service provided by Word of Life to help those in our community who would appreciate a hot meal and fellowship with friends around the table! Currently meals are served on EVERY Tuesday from 5:00-6:30 pm. 

We also keep a food pantry stocked to help stretch your food budget as well as a clothing closet filled with gently used clothing and basic toiletries. If you wish to donate to The Master's Feast or the Food Pantry and Clothing Closet, you can drop off non-perishable foods and toiletries as well as gently used clothing to the church at any time
