I've been a part of this church family since 1995. I've had both an unusual and wonderful journey as pastor at Word of Life. I have served this church as Youth Pastor, as Associate Pastor and now, Senior Pastor! My passion is to serve Jesus Christ by serving with others. I love people! Nothing brings me more joy than seeing faith come alive in people as they encounter our living God!
I love my family! God has truly blessed me with an amazing wife Traci and two incredible children, daughter Shea and son Camden. (anyone see the baseball theme?) We are officially a "soccer family" and love cheering on our kids and their great group of friends. I love to spend time with my family! It doesn't even matter what we are doing - I just love being with my family.
On a personal note, I enjoy golf - but I'm no good at it. I just really enjoy being around people - talking, laughing and enjoying time together!

My thoughts on Ministry:
I have been involved in the life of God's church since I was a young child. Growing up, I watched my parents take active roles of leadership in the church. During this time I found my place inside the church get plugged in. One of the best places for me to fit into as a Junior High student was in the youth group. Simultaneously to this good experience was a bunch of negative experiences at school. My youth group became even more significant to me. As I got older, God began to use me in new ways to serve Him. In addition, God placed in my life good youth leaders who cared for me and looked out for me. A combination of all of those things has been part of the process of how God called me into ministry.
I have been a volunteer youth leader for 4 years at two churches and on staff at two other churches for 10 years. I love working with students, pointing them to Jesus, sharing God's Word with them and getting them involved in the church.
I truly believe God has some great things planned for this church.
Some things you need to know about me:
My wife Wendy and I are just a few months away from starting our third year of life and ministry here in Marysville. We have a cute little daughter named Ella, born in July of 2007.
I was born in Brooklyn NY so that makes me a New Yorker which is something I am quite proud of. I own every Stryper, U2, DC Talk, and Collective Soul CD and I think its important that people know that some great rock bands have come out of New Jersey.
I went to a Twins and Yankee game at Yankee Stadium when Chip Hale was the Twins third baseman and I yelled "all hale chip" when he was up which was followed up by a number of Yankee fans making death threats at me.

Often the first voice you will hear when you call the church is Val's. More often than not, if you want to know the answer to your question, talk to Val. She keeps us organized. She is truly a servant and we are blessed to have her as part of our church family - and on our team! If you have prayer concerns or information you wish to have included in our worship folder, questions about scheduling the facility for an event or need to know more about events at Word of Life, Val is the one to talk to!
